ラストダンス / The Last Dance

精肉店で丸鶏を入手し、その鶏があたかも街中を徘徊しているように動かしながら歩いた。2キロ先の打ち上げ会場の藝大部屋まで移動し、鶏はそのまま料理され、クロージングパーティーで振舞われた。

Tomotosi bought a whole chicken from a butcher and carried it through the streets, making it look as if the chicken was wandering around the city. He walked about 2 kilometers to the afterparty venue. The chicken was eventually cooked as it was, and ended up being served at the closing party.

すさまじい数の人が密集しているにもかかわらず、東京で私たちが「快適」に過ごせるのは、徹底的に人間の日常のためにデザインされているからだと思う。ただ裏を返せば、人間の日常的な行為以外の要素は、この街の運用から排除されがちだともいえる。そういった東京が想定しようとしない要素を、今回の実践で少しだけ導入してみたい。撮影：松尾宇人、杉本温子

The Last Dance
Despite the overwhelming density of people, Tokyo remains a “comfortable” city to visit and live in because it is meticulously designed for human daily life. However, this also means that anything beyond those everyday human activities are often excluded.
