2025/7/5 – ALCULTURA (Box Levante)にて個展開催 – Upcoming solo show in Algeciras, Cádiz, Spain
7月５日から南スペインAlgecirasにあるALCULTURA (Box Levante)にて個展を開催します！先月京都の展示でもお世話になったカジェタノが企画してくれました（企画だけでなく、展示構成、設営、交渉ごとなど全部
ぼくは現地行けない）。ヨーロッパで初めての個展ということもあって楽しみです。カジェタノがぼくのことを“The artist as a kind of ghost”というイメージで捉えることから展示構成が考えられています。
以下、カジェタノのテキストより：
私は「不可視性」というアイデアを含んだ作品に注目しました。つまり、都市の物理的・社会的な限界を探りながらさまよう、一種の幽霊のような存在としてのアーティストという捉え方です。より政治的な目的を持ちつつも、トモトシの作品に感じられる「ナンセンス」や「一見取るに足らないもの」が持つ転覆的な力を強調したいと考えました。
このタイミングでAlgecirasにいる日本の人を探すのはなかなか困難かもですが、、、気に留めておいてもらえたら幸いです！

I’ll be showing my work in Algeciras, southern Spain, starting July 5th! The exhibition is curated by Cayetano Limorte, who also curated our show in Kyoto last month. This will be my first solo exhibition in Europe.
The concept of the show is shaped around Cayetano’s interpretation of me as “the artist as a kind of ghost”.
We’re planning a workshop-like activity for the opening day as well.

La muestra se compone de 9 trabajos en video, un proyecto fotográfico y una video instalación en tiempo real que recorren la trayectoria del artista desde 2016 hasta la actualidad.
