象徴の自意識 / Mirror the Symbol
1958年の竣工以来、東京のシンボルとして人気を集めてきた東京タワー。
今制作において、この美しい塔を別の視点から眺めてみたいと思います。
作品は、東京タワーが周辺のビルに反射している姿の集積によってできています。
今回に限っては、タワーは見られる側ではなく見る側にまわっています。
言ってみれば、これは東京タワーが三面鏡に映る自身の姿を眺めている光景なのです。
Tokyo Tower has stood as a beloved symbol of Japan since 1958. In this work, Artist sought to view this iconic structure from a new perspective. The image is composed of reflections of the tower on surrounding buildings, as if the symbol itself were gazing into a mirror.
