都市をたずねる76 -「東京のホテルのロビーを可能な限り訪問する」 – “Visit many hotel lobbies in Tokyo!”
TOMO都市美術館土曜の恒例企画「都市をたずねる」。12月2日（土）は「東京のホテルのロビーを可能な限り訪問する」をやってみます。コロナ禍による入国制限が解除され、東京には多くの観光客が訪れています。海外から日本を訪れる観光客数が、コロナ以前の水準に回復しているというニュースを見た人も多いかもしれません。今回はそんな観光客の人たちが向かう観光地ではなく、観光客の拠点であるホテルを訪れてみようという企画です。長い移動を経て、最初にリラックスできる場所であるホテルのロビーは、「歓待」を具現化している場所だと言えるでしょう。そんな場所を巡ってみるということは、この街が、外から訪れる人たちに向けてどのような表情をしているのかを考える契機になるかもしれません。途中参加・途中離脱OKです。どなたでも適当に。誰も来なければトモトシ1人でやってみます。
On Saturday, December 2, we will try to “Visit many hotel lobbies in Tokyo!”. Since the COVID-19 entry restrictions were lifted, many tourists have been visiting Tokyo. Many of you may have seen the news that the number of tourists visiting Japan from overseas has recovered to the pre-pandemic level. This time, our plan is not to visit the tourist destinations to which such tourists are heading, but to visit the hotels that are their travel bases. The hotel lobby, the first place where one can relax after a long journey, is the embodiment of hospitality. Touring such a place may be an opportunity to consider how this city looks to visitors from the outside. You are welcome to join or leave during the tour. Anyone is appropriate. If no one comes, tomotosi will try by himself.

お疲れでした。4時間で歩いてホテル10軒！なかでも、かなり閉ざされた感のある木製のドアが開くと、奥の奥まで急に視界が開ける星のやホテルが衝撃的でした。あとはコンラッドで乾杯しようとしてチャージにびびって退散したのもいい思い出。看板、照明、門番の人などロビーにたどりつくまでに、様々な思惑が垣間見えて面白かったです！行くとこ行くとこ本当に全部違うという感じだったので、引き続き他のホテルも見てみたいと思いました。今回優しく接していただいたホテルの方々、ありがとうございました!!（トモトシ）
