SIX-CUT

In Bacolod’s Central Market, six barbershops stand side by side. Tomotosi visited each one in succession, getting a haircut at every stop. Over the course of his two-month stay in Bacolod, his hair had grown out, only to be gradually shortened at each shop until he was finally shaved bald. Like his other works created in the Philippines, this performance was a reflection on his presence in a land once invaded by the Japanese.
