ミッシング・ミッシング・サン / Missing The Missing Sun

「水の波紋展2021 消えゆく風景から ー 新たなランドスケープ」の出展作品。2021年8月2日(月) → 9月5(日)
路上に落ちているマスクを拾って、縫い付けて白旗を作って揚げるというもの。会期中にもマスクを拾うたびに徐々に大きくして、最終的に64枚のマスク白旗になった。数か月前に制作した「ミッシング・サン」のからのアップデートであり、2019年から取り組んできた一連のオリンピック関連作品の締めくくりの作品となっている。

Tomotosi picked up masks that had fallen on the street and sewed them together to make a white flag. He gradually increased the number of masks, and in the end, 64 masks that made up the white flag. The white flags made of masks kept fluttering during the Olympics and Paralympics.
