パブリック・ゴール / Public Goals

ガードレールの隙間など抜け道として使用されているような場所をテープで塞ぎ、それが誰かによってふたたび開通される瞬間（ゴールテープが切られる瞬間）を待ち続けました。街の綻びを正したい行政と、街を使い倒していく利用者をめぐる、コミュニケーションの縮図でもあります。オリンピックを契機に再開発と浄化が行われていた東京に捧げます。

The artist sealed gaps in guardrails and other urban loopholes with tape, then waited for the moment when someone would reopen them—like cutting through a finish line. This act reflects the ongoing dialogue between the government, striving to “fix” the city’s fractures, and its people, who seek to use the city freely. Dedicated to Tokyo, a city undergoing redevelopment and purification in the lead-up to the Olympics, this work captures the tension between control and everyday urban life.
