コインランドリーで洗濯物の乾燥を待つ30分間。宇宙飛行士になって地球を眺めている自分を妄想します。行列に並ぶ、病院の待合い、渋滞にはまる、、、。目的が漂白されてしまったこのような時間に、わたしたちは行き場のない感情を抱きます。
それがネガティブなものであることも多くあるでしょう。ただこの隙間の時間は、目的化した時間ばかりの生活では得られない貴重な「妄想」ができる時間でもあるのです。
At a laundromat, a girl imagines herself as an astronaut gazing at Earth while waiting for her clothes to dry. Life often feels stagnant when you’re standing in line, waiting for someone, or stuck in traffic.
These moments, stripped of purpose, can leave us feeling lost or directionless—a seemingly negative experience. Yet, at the same time, they hold potential. Time without purpose can spark fantasies, offering something our daily lives often lack.
