トモ都市美術館 – 都市をたずねる95「東京駅地下の全てのアートピースを巡ってみる」 – “Exploring All the Art Pieces in the Tokyo Station Underground“
トモ都市美術館では12月20日（東京駅開業の日）に「東京駅地下から可能な限りアートピースを巡ってみる」をやってみます。こちらは12/18から始まる「バグスクール2024：野性の都市」における参加型プログラムです。
[プログラム概要]
トモトシさんが2020年から主催する「トモ都市美術館」では現代都市における実験的な試みを実践・紹介してきました。
今回は既に90回以上実施した「都市をたずねる」シリーズを、BUG直結の東京駅を舞台に開催します。（「都市をたずねる」は、主に路上ツアーや参加型アクションを通じて、トモトシさんのアイディアを現在進行形で試行する企画です。）当日は遊び心あるルールに沿って、トモトシさんと東京駅の地下を巡ってみます。

12月20日は「東京駅地下の全てのアートピースを巡ってみる」をやってみます。
なお当日は東京駅が開業して110年を迎える記念日です。東京駅が巨大な交通の結節点として存在しているのは誰もが認めるところですが、同時に東京駅自体の巨大さも強調してもしきれないものがあります。110年を経てもいまだに成長を続けている東京駅ですが、今回は特に地下空間に着目して、ちょっと変わった街歩きをしてみます。
ルールはシンプルで、東京駅の地下街から外に出ずに、可能な限りの全てのアートピースを巡ってみるというものです。内外の判定が微妙な箇所もありますが、屋根のある場所だったらOKということにします。
18時に集合して、BUGの展示のことをちょっと話したあとに東京駅へ向かいます。参加者で情報や知恵を出し合ってたくさんの全てのアートピースが見れたら嬉しいです！

On December 20, join us for a unique walking tour: “Exploring All the Art Pieces in the Tokyo Station Underground.“ This day marks the 110th anniversary of Tokyo Station’s opening—a landmark not only as a major transit hub but also for its sheer size and cultural significance. Despite its 110-year history, Tokyo Station continues to grow, and this time we’ll focus on its underground spaces.
The rules are simple: we’ll explore as many art pieces as possible without stepping outside the station’s underground areas. Any covered space counts, even if the boundaries are a bit unclear.
We’ll gather at 6:00 PM, briefly discuss the BUG exhibition, and then head to the station. Together, we’ll share ideas and insights to uncover the art hidden within Tokyo Station’s vast underground network.

3時間歩いて22のアートピースを見つけた旅でした。お疲れ様でした！作品を見る時はたいていアートとして提示された、いわばセッティングが整った状態で見ることが大半ですが、今回はそのセッティングがない状態。とにかく観察して判断するの連続でした。何か気になるものに出会うたびに、これはアートなのかアートではないのかっていう、とても本質的で、ちょっと上から目線な議論がめっちゃ盛り上がりました。別の街でもやってみたくなったので企画するかも！池田さん、小林さん、石井さん、道案内で頼りっぱなしだったたかださん、みなとさん、そして一緒に歩いた皆さんありがとうございました！！（トモトシ）
It was a three-hour journey where we discovered 22 art pieces—great job, everyone! Typically, we view artworks in curated settings, where everything is presented as “art.” But this time, there was no such setup. It was a constant process of observing and deciding for ourselves. Each time we encountered something intriguing, the debate heated up: “Is this art, or is it not?” It was a deeply fundamental yet hilariously subjective discussion. Now, I’m inspired to try this in another city—maybe I’ll plan something soon!
