トモ都市美術館 – 都市をたずねる111「銀座でレシート100万円分拾って、消費を追体験してみる」- “¥1,000,000 Receipt Scavenger Hunt in Ginza”
2/22（日）にトモ都市美術館で「銀座でレシート100万円分拾って、消費を追体験してみる」をやってみます。内容はタイトルそのままで、銀座の路上に落ちているレシートを合計100万になるまで拾い続けてみようという会です。言い換えれば、1円も使わずに100万円使った気分を味わってみようというものです。高級ショッピング街として名高い銀座で、金遣いについて考えてみる機会になるかもしれません。また最も華やかな街でひたすら地面を眺めながら歩く体験は、銀座の別の側面と出会えるかもしれません。途中参加・離脱OK。参加者で手分けして合計100万円目指しましょう。誰も来なければ1人でやってみます。
On Sun, Feb 22, TOMO City Museum will host “¥1,000,000 Receipt Scavenger Hunt in Ginza.” We’ll keep picking up receipts dropped on the streets of Ginza until the total adds up to ¥1,000,000—in other words, trying to “spend” a million yen without spending a single yen.
In Ginza, Tokyo’s iconic luxury shopping district, this might be a chance to think about money and consumption. And walking through the city while staring at the ground may reveal a different side of Ginza. Feel free to join or leave at any time. Let’s split up and aim for ¥1,000,000 together. If no one shows up, I’ll do it solo.

長時間のレシート集めお疲れ様でした！今日中に終わるのかもわからないままのスタートだったけど、終わってみれば達成感すごい。まずは歩行者天国になっている銀座通りを観察しまくって30分くらい集計したら18万円超えてて、ちょっと手応えを感じることができました。ただ大通りを外れると全然レシート落ちてなくて、これ大丈夫か？？という空気が流れてきました。ちょっと暗いムードになりかけた時に18万のレシート見つけて盛り上がり新橋の路上は、数は落ちてたけど一個一個の額が小さめでなかなか伸びず。暗さと疲れから、少しだけ諦めの雰囲気も出てきそうな18時頃、なんと22万のレシート発見！誰か知らないけど、胡蝶蘭を買ってレシート捨てた人に感謝。終わりが見えてテンションが戻ってきて、有楽町で最後の仕上げで目標クリア。最後の盛り上がりもあって、一気に終わった！109万円！ほんとお疲れ様でした！（トモトシ）
Huge thanks for the insane receipt scavenger hunt! We weren’t sure we’d make it, but the payoff is awesome. Started strong in Ginza (hit 180k in 30 mins!). But backstreets and Newbashi were tough—lots of small receipts, and fatigue set in. The mood almost turned grim. But then, bam! A 220k receipt for orchids! Total game-changer. Shoutout to the mystery buyer! Yurakucho for the final sprint was just a blur of excitement. We nailed it and cleared the target. Final count: 1.09 million yen! Seriously amazing job everyone!
