ACC（光州）にて開催される展覧会 “Asia, The Apparatus” に参加します。旧作2つと光州で作った2つを組み合わせて展示します。思ってたより大きなプロジェクトになりました。関わってもらった皆さんに本当に感謝です！ぼくの幾多のリクエストに対して、交渉力で何度も道をこじ開けてくれたYewon始めキュレーターチームに特に感謝。いい展示になるはず！光州には計一ヵ月滞在したけど、おいしいご飯、優しい人、勇敢な歴史と良い美術館とビエンナーレもあり。
I’m participating in “Asia, The Apparatus” at ACC (Gwangju), starting March 19th.
The exhibition features two of my previous works from Japan, along with two new works created here in Gwangju. It has become a much bigger project than I expected. Huge thanks to everyone involved especially to Yewon and the curatorial team, who kept opening doors with amazing negotiation skills in response to my many requests. I believe it’s going to be a good show!
I’ve stayed in Gwangju for a month in total. Love the food, the kind people, and the city’s brave history/art scene. The show will overlap with the Biennale. Please come visit!
