都市をたずねる114「ランダム防災訓練〜横浜編〜」- “Random Evacuation Drill in Yokohama”
Art Center NEW出張版「ランダム防災訓練〜横浜編〜」
3/13（金）にトモ都市美術館として、Art Center NEWにて連続開催されてきた「5つの都市の断面図」にお邪魔します。酒井風くんに誘ってもらったこのイベントはすでに定員いっぱいなのですが、どんなことをやるかまとめたものをここに書いておきます。
当日は軽い挨拶のあと、内閣が提供している緊急避難場所のマップをもとに、横浜の避難場所をめぐるまち歩きをします。歩いている最中、トモトシのスマホから無作為にアラームが鳴るたびに防災訓練（影に隠れる、近い建物内に逃げ込む、木に登る、伏せるなど）がスタートします。通常の訓練と違い、いつ始まるかわかりません。
「突然隠れなければならない」という経験を通して、普段見慣れた横浜の景色が、別の断面を見せるかもしれません。
また開催の前々日は、東日本大震災から15年という節目です。それも踏まえて、いつくずれるかわからない日常について話してみるような会にもなればと思います。
“Random Evacuation Drill in Yokohama”
On Friday, March 13, we’ll be joining the final session of the lecture series at Art Center NEW. While the event is already at full capacity, I’d like to share what we have planned.
We will take a walk through Yokohama using the Cabinet Office’s emergency shelter map. But there’s a twist: whenever a random alarm triggers on my phone, a “Disaster Drill” begins instantly. Participants must react—hide in shadows, duck into buildings, or hit the ground.
Unlike scheduled drills, you never know when it will start. By experiencing the sudden need to “hide,” the familiar streets of Yokohama may reveal a completely different “cross-section.”
This event takes place just two days after the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake. It will be a time to reflect on the fragility of our daily lives and imagine the “unpredictable” through our own bodies.
