グレイトイベント / The Great Event
トモトシがもっている長い棒は、棒高跳び用のポールです。本作では、トモトシが埼玉県から新国立競技場までポールを運ぶ様子が記録されています 。
道行く人々に協力を求めながら、長すぎてひとりで運ぶこともままならないポールを持ち歩く様子は、大量の資金と人員を動員して開催される一大国家イベントを想起させます。しかしながら、最終的にトモトシが目的とするイベントは明らかにならないまま本作は終了します。果たしてトモトシは何に向かって進んでいたのでしょうか。( 埼玉県立近代美術館 佐原しおり)

The long stick that tomotosi has is a pole for pole vault. In this work, it is recorded that tomotosi carries a pole from Saitama Prefecture to the New National Stadium. Carrying a pole that is too long to carry alone, asking for help from the wayside, is reminiscent of a major national event that mobilizes large amounts of supply. However, this work ends without the event which Tomotoshi aims at finally becoming clear. What was Tomotoshi really heading for? (Shiori Sahara, The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama)
