影に願いを / Wish upon a Shadow
福島県富岡町の一地域は、原発事故の影響から、この先長期にわたって定住が難しいと言われています。
住民が避難したこの地域には、津波で壊された駅舎が修繕されることなく残されています。
今作品では、その駅舎を利用している人たちの影を表現しました。
影は実体がないとできません。 「人影がある」ということは、実際の「人がいる」ということになります。
「人がいる」というイメージが可能性としての力を持ち、やがて現実がイメージに追いつくという日が来ることを願っています。
Some towns in Fukushima remain abandoned because of having been contaminated by radiation.
Tomioka-cho is one of it and has Tomioka station which has been destroyed by the tsunami since 2011.
I added people’s shadows on the picture of the station.
Shadow can’t exist without substance.
If there are people’s shadows, people should be there.
I wish that reality will follow the imagination someday.
